Information gleaned from the flint walls in this photo:

1 The Elms wall on the right shows where there were once tied cottages at the NW corner of the The Elms land.

2 The change of colour at the top of The Elms wall, beyond the lamp post, is due to the earlier wall being shoulder height.

3 The wall on the right runs from the Victorian letter box to Hillside. One may observe successive heightening by owners of Hillside.

4 Just visible at the far end of the wall is the mounting block used by the Beards.
